This is probably the most important thing to know before going to buy a perfume. Always, and I mean always before you go to buy a scent know what purpose that scent is going to serve you. Are you going to  wear it to school around your schoolmates or are you going to have it on during work hours. Based on that one characteristic finding a perfume will get much easier and better. Lets put it this way, would you want to wear a scent that is very appealing to opposite sex at the funeral? Probably not; therefore, know what you are looking for and then go for it.

What is your budget? How much can you spend? Before you go and buy a perfume just write down on piece of paper your maximum amount of money you are allowed to spend on the perfume. This will allow you to stay focus and not spend too much money.
